Peter DeweyI was born again in 1981 after watching a Billy Graham TV crusade. Reverend Graham said that if you let Jesus into your heart He can change your life. So I said, "Lord if you're real, make yourself real to me and forgive me of my sins." There was no thunder or earthquake or anything like that, but my life started to change little by little and for the better. I am so thankful for God's grace and the mercy that He has had on me.
God has blessed my life with many friends who love the Lord. One friend of mine is Bob Tellier. I met Bob in a prayer meeting in 1996 after hearing about him and the Living Stone project for more than a year. When I was introduced to Bob I could tell he worked with stone. He had big shoulders, muscular arms and a rugged face. Through the roughness came a brightness in Bob's face and eyes. When I talked to Bob he had a real humbleness about him and he was very friendly.
Bob asked if I would like to come up and see the project. He also asked me to do some work on the roof of his house. I did the work Bob needed and soon I found I was doing other small jobs to help out. I feel like the Lord has given me this gift of helping and what an opportunity I have to give at Living Stone. I feel so blessed to be involved in this project that will last until the end of time. It's wonderful to see all these stones with the Word of God on them. The stones seem to cry out.
I have met many wonderful people while helping on the project and I am grateful for their friendship. My friend, Bob, impressed me with his faithfulness to the call of God and his dedication to the details of every word and every letter going on these massive stones.
Bob has been working on this project for 15 years so far and has proven faithful. All donations and gifts go towards the purchase of stones and other material for the project. I am very touched by what the Lord is doing here and I am fully committed to the vision the Lord has given to Bob. I am grateful to the Lord for his great love and for all of my friends here at the Living Stone Foundation.
